Garbage chutes get dirty and need to be cleaned using a combination of the proper cleaning agents, water pressure, hot water and equipment. All of our mobile units are equipped with heaters to produce water up to 180 degrees.
The SparkleWash process includes the following:
1. All floor chute doors are sealed with removable tape to insure a tight seal.
2. Starting at the lowest level working up to the top level, a high volume/low-pressure application of cleaner is applied to the chute interior. The cleaner is applied under heat, at a volume of up to 1 gallon per floor. More than one application of cleaner may be applied if required.
3. Starting from the lowest level working up to the top level, a hot water/high-pressure chute cleaner is drawn up the chute at a slow speed. This process is repeated up to 4 times to insure a complete cleaning is achieved.
4. An application of Bio-Enzymatic Odor Digester is applied to the chute interior.
5. The sealer tape is removed from the floor chute doors. Both sides of the door are hand cleaned. The hand cleaning is required due to the hinged guard that is common in most chutes.
6. The area at the bottom of the chute is power washed clean.
